Following our Lord's command to the Apostles, "Suffer the children to come to Me, for theirs is the Kingdom of God," our Annunciation parish offers the following ministries for our youngest parishioners:
Church (Sunday) School: Time: Sunday, following Holy Communion
Each Sunday, the children of our parish are taught the Holy Orthodox Faith in the church school classroom. Classes meet immediately following the reception of Holy Communion by the children, and they conclude at the end of the Divine Services. In addition to classroom learning, the children participate in several processions throughout the year; the Oratorical Festival; and Youth Sunday! Our church school director is Janet Stathopoulos.
GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth Association)
Our parish also has a chapter of the GOYA, a youth group for ages 12-18. Our GOYA meets monthly. They perform service projects for the community; fundraise; travel to both spiritual; sporting; and social events in Montgomery and around the Metropolis of Atlanta.
Acolytes (Altar Boys)
Our Annunciation parish invites boys ages 9 and older to serve inside the Holy Altar, assisting the priest in the celebration of the Divine Services.
